all of life is but a work in progress, and this site is but a reflection of that ethos. Or an exhortation with a dash of affectation: embrace the liminal space that is the framework in which your brand will be creatively constructed. Y’know, thought leader-like. Except I couldn’t bring myself to use emoji as bullet points.

the correct citation is from Cicero’s De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum (Harris Rackham translation, 1914), with the cut-off text a result of poor hyphenation across pages that can be avoided with today’s typesetting methods, and that I studied Latinate languages enough to loosely translate this as “Nobody wants pain for pain itself,” with the manuscript further explaining that “circumstances occur in which toil can bring pleasure”—which one can view as an allegory for late-stage capitalism, and we creatives are but pawns who need to go to therapy to soothe the cognitive dissonance of our role in the decline of humanity.
